Kosovo citizen accused of being part of IS terror group

PRISTINA, Kosovo – Kosovo prosecutors say they have charged a resident of involvement in the Islamic State group in Syria.

A statement on Tuesday said that the suspect, identified only as G.H., was faced a sentence of up to 10 years if convicted of participation in terror groups. The suspect’s gender was not disclosed.

Prosecutors say the accused, who is in custody in another case, was part of IS from August 2013 to February 2014.

In recent days, nine other people were arrested on suspicion of links with the IS group and for allegedly planning attacks in Kosovo and other Balkan countries.
