Police looking for surveillance footage of fatal shooting

KAMLOOPS –  Konaam Shirzad, 34, was shot and killed outside of his south Kamloops home and the Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance.

On Sept. 21 the Kamloops RCMP responded to the death of Konaam Shirzad who was shot along with another 28-year-old man with who suffered a non-life threatening injury caused by a gunshot, according to an RCMP release issued today, Sept. 23.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dash camera video footage that covers any part of Summit Drive during the period of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, says Cpl. Nestor V. Baird.

Contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 if you have video footage during that time period or of the event.

Police did not release the name of the 28-year-old man who was shot.
