Kamloops bar fight lands victim in hospital, suspect in jail

KAMLOOPS – The Sports Central Lounge was the scene of a fight that ended with a stabbing Friday night.

Kamloops RCMP say two men got into a fight at around 11:08 p.m. inside the bar at 1430 Summit Drive.

“One of the two men was stabbed once in the upper body with a knife,” Sgt. Edward Preto said.

The victim was taken to the Royal Inland Hospital. He was treated and released several hours later.

The suspect was arrested at the bar and is being held at RCMP cells until he appears in court.
