Investigators looking for answers in 30-year-old Kelowna homicide case

The body of a 25-year-old sex worker was found at the base of Knox Mountain in Kelowna almost 30 years ago and investigators are hoping to someone will come forward with information that could help advance the homicide case.

Tina Parr was last seen alive early in the morning on Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994 at a home on Martin Avenue in Kelowna, according to a Crime Stoppers media release issued today, May 8.

Her closest acquaintances told police at the time she went to Knox Mountain park willingly with someone she knew.

Her body was found the next day near the lower picnic area on in the park.

Parr was a sex worker and known to police.

Investigators interviewed hundreds of people at the time.

“During the interviews police believed that several people may have had further information to disclose regarding her whereabouts and activities leading up to her death but were not comfortable revealing details at that time,” the release read.

Police are hoping to talk to anyone who could help advance the investigation.
