Every Friday in Vernon, you’ll find tents and booths set up for the Polson Artisan Market, where vendors sell locally made goods to the community. Each week in Polson Park, organizer Mayla Janzen brings a fresh, fun theme that gives each market a fun twist. Food trucks are also out and rotating each week, so different food is always available each week to try.

This week was karaoke themed, and people sang a wide variety of new and old songs while people shopped. Many vendors also joined in the karaoke queue and would sing some of their favourite songs.

From 4 pm to 8 pm, the market usually starts up mid-May and ends in September as the warmer days and evenings start to transition to fall. The market ends this season by being part of the Sundog Festival on September 18 and 19. After that, the market takes a small break during the fall and returns in the winter with Sleigh All Day.

Next week, August 28, 2026, is going to be dog-themed, encouraging owners to bring their furry friends along with them, dress them up, and participate in a few other dog-related activities for the night.
