LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A strongly felt earthquake has rolled across Los Angeles.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the preliminary magnitude was magnitude 4.7 and was centred 5 miles (8 kilometres) north-northwest of the city’s Westwood neighbourhood.
The 6:25 a.m. Monday quake occurred at a depth of about 5 miles (8 kilometres).
The Los Angeles Fire Department has received no immediate reports of damage.
