Raptors’ starting guard Lowry out with knee injury versus Rockets

TORONTO – Toronto guard Kyle Lowry sat out the Raptors’ game Wednesday night versus the Houston Rockets because of a knee injury.

Lowry left Monday’s 93-83 loss at Miami in the third quarter after he collided with Heat guard LeBron James.

Raptors coach Dwane Casey said Lowry had swelling in his knee Wednesday.

Lowry is averaging 17.4 points, 7.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds for the Raptors.

Greivis Vasquez was slated to start for Lowry.
