12 people, including kids, injured when car crashes into US day care
WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol says a vehicle crashed into a day care centre near Orlando, Florida, and injured 12 people, including children.
Local television showed multiple people, including children, being carried out on stretchers Wednesday afternoon.
Small children and infants in cribs were taken outside to the playground.
The highway patrol reports some of the victims are in “very, very serious” condition. They include 11 children and one adult.
Police say a silver or greyish Dodge Durango crashed into a vehicle that then struck the KinderCare building in Winter Park.
The Durango did not stay at the scene.
A woman who answered the phone at KinderCare says she didn’t have time to talk.
