GOETZIS, Austria – Kai Kazmirek of Germany led the men’s decathlon after the opening day of the IAAF World Challenge Hypo Meeting on Saturday, and last year’s winner Brianne Theisen-Eaton of Humboldt, Sask., built a slim lead in the women’s heptathlon.

Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands, who won the 100 hurdles and the 200, is fourth with 3,865.
