KAMLOOPS – Connor Gay had a hat trick and added an assist in the Regina Pats' 7-3 rout of the Kamloops Blazers in Western Hockey League action on Friday.
Dryden Hunt added five assists for the Pats (15-10-1) while Kyle Burroughs, Morgan Klimchuk, Jared McAmmond and Pavel Padakin rounded out the scoring.
Luke Harrison, Patrik Maier and Logan McVeigh all scored for the Blazers (11-12-5), who dropped their third straight game.
Tyler Brown picked up the win in goal for Regina, making 33 saves. Connor Ingram stopped 2-of-5 shots in 5:50 before being pulled by Kamloops. Cole Kehler replaced him and made 35 saves in 54:10.
The Pats scored once on five power-play chances while the Blazers went 0 for 2.
Regina's Austin Wagner was ejected at 2:29 of the second period after receiving a major penalty for checking to the head.
