A Ray of hope as Bombers seek win over Argos to keep playoff hopes breathing

WINNIPEG – The Toronto Argonauts minus Ricky Ray could equal a golden opportunity for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as they try to rescue their woeful season.

But the Argos say they’re confident in the skills quarterback Jarious Jackson brings as Ray’s backup for Saturday’s game in Winnipeg.

Jackson says he’s glad he played most of the last game in Montreal after Ray went down to prepare for the Bombers.

Winnipeg quarterback Buck Pierce says it will be a challenge facing one of the CFL’s best defences.

Both teams say they feel they’re in must-win territory.

The Bombers have the worst record in the league at 3-9, while the Argos (6-6) are anxious to avoid extending their losing streak to three games.
