The Late Show with Stephen Colbert pulled out all the stops for this parody of the Lord of the Rings movies.

Colbert has taken his show to New Zealand where director Peter Jackson shot the movies based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Colbert, probably one of the biggest Tolkien fans in the world, convinced Jackson to produce this trailer for a new trilogy centred on Colbert's cameo from The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.
