Millionaire gives millions to TRU

KAMLOOPS – It’s the largest private donation ever made to Thompson Rivers University.

Businessman and philanthropist Ken Lepin has give the university $2.25 million.

Lepin made the announcement Saturday night at the TRU Foundation Gala.

The money will be divided among all the faculties with some paying for research.

Lepin started his career in Kamloops as a chartered accountant. He moved into the sand and gravel business before becoming a property developer.
