Garneau to Trudeau: Let’s debate one-on-one:

OTTAWA – Liberal leadership hopeful Marc Garneau is challenging front-runner Justin Trudeau to a one-on-one debate.

Garneau says if Trudeau can’t defend his ideas in debate against him, he’ll never be able to do so against Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

He says the party’s leadership is too important to be handed to an untested candidate who’s been hiding behind a carefully crafted public relations campaign.

The part has held three all-candidates debates thus far with two more to come.

But with nine candidates in the race, Garneau says he’s had only three minutes of one-on-one debate with Trudeau so far.

This is the third time in as many weeks that Garneau has taken shots at Trudeau.
