Maple Leafs Leafs gear up for visit of Canadiens in possible playoff preview
TORONTO – After arriving home in the wee hours from Florida, the Maple Leafs skated for just 35 minutes at their practice facility Friday.
Toronto hosts the Canadiens on Saturday night in a regular season finale that could well be a preview of a first-round playoff matchup.
Leafs first-line centre Tyler Bozak, who missed Thursday night’s game against the Panthers, did not take part in practice.
Coach Randy Carlyle said he had no word on his availability.
Should the Leafs beat Montreal in the season finale — and the Bruins get one point in their last two outings — Toronto and Montreal will meet in the post-season for the first time since 1979.
