World Bank aims to end extreme poverty for millions earning $1.25 per day

MONTREAL – The World Bank is aiming to end extreme global poverty by 2030 with help from the private sector, the agency’s president said Tuesday. Jim Yong Kim said the World Bank will issue an annual report card on the success of the poorest countries to lift people above $1.25 earned each day.
