B.C.’s police watchdog called in after man seriously injured in Kamloops

The Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia is investigating after a man was seriously injured during an incident in Kamloops.

RCMP say the man was arrested after an officer broke up a fight on March 12 just after 8 p.m.

The incident took place on the 600 block of Columbia Street West in Kamloops, the RCMP news release said.

Police say the man in custody complained of an injury while en route to the Kamloops RCMP detachment, and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
