Westport Innovations picks former TRW VP as president, chief operating officer

VANCOUVER – Westport Innovations (TSX:WPT) has appointed Nancy Gougarty as its president and chief operating officer. She had been a Westport director since February and previously worked for TRW Automotive Corp. as the autoparts company’s vice-president for the Asia-Pacific region from January 2008 until last year. Before joining TRW, she held leadership positions at other automotive companies including as managing director of a General Motores joint venture in China. Gougarty has resigned her seat on the Westport board of directors.
