Free skiing at Big White for Crystal Mountain pass holders

KELOWNA – A bit of a silver lining to the scary chairlift accident at Crystal Mountain Resort last weekend that sent 4 people to hospital and closed the ski hill indefinitely while B.C. Safety Authority investigators look for the cause.

You can ski for free at Big White Ski Resort this weekend if are a Crystal Mountain seasons pass holder.

Big White is offering a complimentary lift ticket for Saturday and Sunday.

“We just think it’s the neighbourly thing to do,” Big White senior vice president Michael J. Ballingall said. “We thought we’d make sure (Crystal Mountain’s) pass holders are looked after for the weekend.”

All Crystal Mountain skiers and boarders have to do is present their valid season pass to the main ticket office in the Village Centre Mall at the top of the gondola at the top of the gondola.
