Smoky skies bulletin issued for South Thompson, Fraser Canyon
The South Thompson region, including Kamloops, can expect smoky skies over the next couple of days.
The B.C. Environment Ministry and Environment Canada have issued a smoky skies bulletin for the South Thompson and Fraser Canyon South (including Lytton) regions today, Aug. 26. The wildfire smoke will have an impact for the next 24 to 48 hours.
It also said conditions may vary amid changing wind patterns throughout the day.
During smoky conditions common sense measures are recommended – stop or reduce a physical activity if it makes you feel ill, stay cool and drink lots of liquid.
