Looking for a forever home, Vernon SPCA pets of the week

Nicole May

Nicole May is a beautiful female that was adopted from the SPCA almost a year ago.

Her owner sadly needed to return her after being diagnosed with medical conditions that would make it hard for her to take care of Nicole May properly.

This lovely girl is accustomed to being an only cat and loves the attention she receives.

She is very playful and loves to chase and "attack" her toys!

She is an indoor-only kitty.

If you would like to give this sweet girl a purrfect home, please come up to the Vernon SPCA and meet her.

Oni

Oni B.C. SPCA

This high energy senior is not slowing down any time soon. Oni, an 8 year and 8 month old neutered brindle Boxer cross came into the SPCA because his previous owners could no longer give him the exercise and attention he needs.

Upon meeting Oni, you wouldn't guess he is almost 9 years young. He still has a large amount of energy and is looking for an active owner who will have a lot of time for walks and hikes.

Oni has a bit of separation anxiety and would do best with owners who are home fairly often. He also needs a home with a securely fenced backyard as he is a creative escape artist with the ability to clear a 6 foot fence, so he cannot be outside un-supervised. Even jumping around the kennels he looks like he has springs in his legs.

He does have most of his basic obedience such as sit, lay down, stay and heel, however he still pulls when walking on leash so needs some further training in that area. Oni will need slow calm introductions when meeting any new dogs.

If Oni sounds like a senior you would love to give a great home to, contact the Vernon SPCA.
