KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP moved in on a marijuana grow operation and seized 1,500 plants in the Pineview neighborhood last night.
RCMP say officers executed a search warrant at a house in the 2000 block of Hugh Allan Drive last night, May 9.
Police did not include information about arrests or charges in a media release.
"The investigation is ongoing at this time and further details regarding arrests and charges may be released at a date to be determined by investigators," Cpl. Brandon Buliziuk says in the release.
The investigation was spurred by a tip from a member of the public.
Buliziuk says grow operations like this one often use “make shift electrical work” which can lead to collateral damage and structure fires.
