The flavours, music and traditions of different cultures will come together in Kamloops as the Cultural Themed Dinners 2026 invite the community to share a meal while discovering stories and traditions from around the world.

Presented by the Valid Dreams Foundation, the monthly gatherings take place at 421 St. Paul Street from 5 to 7:30 pm. Each dinner offers a different cultural focus, giving guests the chance to experience food, fashion, music, dance and traditions from another part of the world.

The 2026 series includes dinners on August 14, September 11 and October 9, with each evening highlighting a different culture or region. Previous themes have included traditions from places such as Ukraine, Nigeria, Thailand and Persia.

For guests, the dinners offer more than a meal. They create an opportunity to meet other members of the community, learn about different cultural traditions and experience stories and celebrations that may be unfamiliar to them.

The events also provide a space for people from different backgrounds to come together in a welcoming environment. By sharing food and cultural traditions, the dinners encourage connection, understanding and appreciation for the diversity within the Kamloops community.
