BOULDER, Colo. – A Colorado woman whose unborn baby was cut from her womb will tell her story on the season premiere of “Dr. Phil” despite a judge’s limited gag order.
Monday’s order limits what attorneys can say about the case outside court. But it doesn’t prohibit Michelle Wilkins from discussing her ordeal, despite objections from attorneys for the woman accused of attacking her.
The order from District Judge Maria Berkenkotter came as Wilkins’ “Dr. Phil” interview is set to air Monday.
Dynel Lane is charged with attempted murder, unlawful termination of a pregnancy and multiple counts of felony assault. Prosecutors say she attacked Wilkins and removed the unborn baby girl from her womb March 18.
Lane remains jailed in Boulder County on $2 million bail. Her trial is expected in February.
