UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre a commanding favourite to beat Diaz

MONTREAL – Georges St-Pierre is a 5-1 favourite to defend his welterweight title against Nick Diaz at UFC 158.

The 31-year-old from Montreal is looking to make his eighth straight defence of his 170-pound crown on Saturday at the Bell Centre.

All eyes will be on today’s pre-fight news conference, to see if Diaz shows up.

The California fighter skipped Wednesday’s public workout, tweeting later that he had only arrived in Montreal at midnight the night before.
