Grand Chief Stewart Phillip to speak at Greens gathering in Kelowna

KELOWNA – On the heels of the Green/NDP government taking power, members of the Southern Interior B.C. Green Party are meeting this weekend in Kelowna.

Grand Chief Stewart Phillip will be speaking to the crowd this weekend, according to a release from the B.C. Greens. 

Phillip is the president of the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs. The release did not include any details on what his talk will be focused on. 

This regional meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 30, at the Best Western Plus conference centre. 

Members will discuss a review of campaign performance, review of Green policy principles and organizational issues in advance of another provincial election, the release states.

The B.C. Green Party will hold their convention and annual general meeting on Aug. 18 and 19 in Sidney.
