Suspicious actions lead police to alleged truck thief
KELOWNA – A Calgary man will face the judge after RCMP discovered the truck he was driving was stolen.
Police pulled the grey Ford Ranger over during a routine patrol on Pandosy Street near Glenwood Avenue. A member noticed the truck leaving the area of a known drug house. They ran the plates and found out the Ford was stolen. The officer called for backup and truck was eventually stopped on Richter Street, at Bernard Avenue.
It was confirmed the vehicle was stolen out of Calgary and both the driver and the passenger were arrested.
The passenger, a 41-year-old Kelowna man was later released without charges.
Nicholas Ramsdale, 31, was charged with possession of stolen property. He was since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 26.
