The Balancing Rock and Hoodoos near Kamloops should be on your bucket list this summer

KAMLOOPS — The balancing rock and hoodoos site located just off the Trans-Canada Highway west of Kamloops is the natural wonder you have to see to believe.

The Balancing Rock and Hoodoos overlook Kamloops Lake and are a favourite to both locals and guests visiting the area.

To get there from Kamloops, proceed west on Highway 1 toward Cache Creek. When you pass the Kamloops Lake viewpoint you’ll know you’re getting close.

The pull-off that leads to the trail to the balancing rock is located 1.7 kilometres down the road from the lake viewpoint on the righthand side.

Make sure to drive slow, as the turn is easy to miss. Once you are there, park in the grassy area. You’ll see a small opening at the gate that you may have to squeeze through to access the trail.

Follow the dirt path for approximately 15 minutes until you see the balancing rock.
