Yes, we’re still talking about the pandemic. But COVID-19 is still around, and so is the fallout from how the government handled it.

Hindsight is 20/20, so polling company Research Co. asked British Columbians how they feel the government handled the pandemic now that they have had some time to think on it and scroll through more misinformation on social media.

Here are the numbers:

6: Years ago the World Health Organization declared a pandemic. Time flies when you’re facing a potential global catastrophe.
67: Per cent of British Columbians polled said the federal government and provincial government efforts were successful.
64: Per cent of British Columbians polled said their municipal government handled the pandemic with success.
63: Per cent of British Columbians polled said strict health measures were the right decision.
27: Per cent of British Columbians polled said the response to COVID-19 was probably too heavy-handed.
6: Per cent of British Columbians polled said they believe COVID-19 was a hoax and never should have affected our lives.
56: Per cent of British Columbians polled said the news media successfully covered the COVID-19 pandemic.
1,800: Health-care workers in B.C. lost their jobs because they defied vaccine mandates and went to work unvaccinated.
17.9: Million vaccine doses were administered in B.C. in the first three years of the pandemic.
