Polivka stops 30 shots as the Royals blank the Cougars

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Patrik Polivka stopped all 30 shots he faced as the Victoria Royals blanked the host Prince George Cougars 2-0 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Jamie Crooks and Austin Carroll each scored for the Royals (14-12-1) while Alex Gogolev assisted on both goals.

Mac Engel turned aside 26-of-28 shots in a losing cause for the Cougars (9-13-4), who have dropped back-to-back outings.

Victoria went 1-for-5 on the power play while Prince George failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
