KELOWNA – Thanksgiving is the busiest meal the Kelowna Gospel Mission serves every year, but Easter is a solid second place.
About 700 people enjoyed the turkey, ham, veggies, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy served up by about 50 volunteers on Saturday.
It takes about 3 weeks to prepare for the big day according to the Gospel Mission’s Ami Catriona.
Local politicians were out helping to serve the community's less fortunate including Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick.
