Looking for a forever home, Vernon SPCA pets of the week

Daisy

Daisy is a sweet little Pomeranian cross who was a little too interested in the camera to get that perfect model pose!

She is very friendly with people, walks well on a leash and knows her basic commands such as sit. She is a little timid around larger dogs, and as far as we know has never lived with very young children.

Daisy does have luxating patellas in both of her hind legs, which do not currently require surgery but could at some point in the future, this happens often in small toy breeds. They do not limit her mobility; however, it is something to be aware of. Potential adopters should be familiar with this condition and we recommend speaking to your veterinarian about it prior to adoption if you have questions.

This lovely lady has a lot of spunk and is looking for her perfect match! If you would like more information please contact the Vernon SPCA.

This is Oreo!

Oreo is an 8 year old spayed female who has over-indulged in some of the finer things life has to offer – namely food!

This girl now needs to be on a weight management program until she can relocate her waistline, and we know she can do it. She likely will need to be on a lower-calorie food, and staff and volunteers are working on an exercise plan to help this cutie get healthy and also enjoy her time in our care as much as possible.

We hope before we know it she will be dancing her way into someone's heart and headed into her forever home!
